कैथोलिक चर्च के प्रमुख पोप बेनेडिक्ट 16वें ने अपने पद से इस्तीफा देने का निर्णय किया

कैथोलिक चर्च के प्रमुख पोप बेनेडिक्ट 16वें ने अपने पद से 11 फरवरी 2013 को इस्तीफा देने का निर्णय किया. 85 वर्षीय पोप ने अपनी उम्र को इस्तीफे का कारण बताया. 600 वर्षों में यह पहला मौका है जब किसी पोप ने अपने पद से इस्तीफा दिया है. पोप बेनेडिक्ट 16वें द्वारा 28 फरवरी 2013 को इस्तीफा दिया जाना है. यह पद उन्हें 19 अप्रैल 2005 को कार्डिनलों द्वारा सौंपा गया था. इसके साथ ही उन्होंने कार्डिनलों से नए पोप का चुनाव करने का आग्रह किया.

पोप बेनेडिक्ट 16वें से संबंधित मुख्य तथ्य:

• पोप बेनेडिक्ट 16वें 2000 वर्ष पुरानी कैथोलिक चर्च परंपरा में 265वें पोप हैं.
• पोप बेनेडिक्ट 16वें वर्ष 2005 में जॉन पॉल द्वितीय की मृत्यु के बाद 78 वर्ष की आयु में पोप बने.
• वर्ष 1927 में जर्मनी में जन्में पोप बेनेडिक्ट 16वें का वास्तविक नाम जोसेफ रैटिंजर है. वह वर्ष 1977 में कार्डिनल ऑफ म्यूनिख बनने से पहले धर्मशास्त्र के प्रोफेसर थे. पोप बनने से पहले वह 24 वर्षो तक वेटिकन में वरिष्ठ पदों पर रहे.
• पोप बेनेडिक्ट 16वें ने बुनियादी क्रिश्चियन मूल्यों की वकालत करते हुए समलैंगिकता, गर्भनिरोध और महिलाओं के पुजारी बनने का विरोध किया.
• यह छठा ऐसा अवसर है जब कोई पोप अपना पद छोड़ने जा रहा है. हाल के इतिहास में इसके पहले वर्ष 1415 में पोप ग्रेगरी 12वें ने त्यागपत्र दिया था. इसके अतिरिक्त कम से कम पांच और पोप ने अलग-अलग कारणों से कैथोलिक ईसाइयों के सर्वोच्च धर्मगुरु का पद त्यागा है.
• पोप की ओर पहला त्यागपत्र वर्ष 235 में, दूसरा वर्ष 537 में, तीसरा वर्ष 1009 में, चौथा वर्ष 1045 में और पांचवां वर्ष 1294 में दिया गया.

Indian Railways finally moving to high-speed trains

Kerala High Speed Rail Corporation Ltd

The state government has formed a new public limited company - Kerala High Speed Rail  Corporation Ltd -to implement a high speed rail network. The 630-km network will connect Thiruvananthapuram with Mangalore. The Kerala State Industrial Development Corporation (KSIDC) has been appointed the nodal agency to develop the project, and Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) has been assigned with a pre-feasibility study. The new company was formed on the basis of a pre-feasibility report submitted by DMRC.  Further technical studies and economic evaluation are currently being planned.  The proposed high speed corridor will have two parallel tracks in the standard gauge system as in the Delhi Metro Rail.The high speed corridor will have an alignment independent of the existing alignment of the Indian Railways.

The project will be implemented as a joint venture between the state government and a private partner which will be selected at a later stage. T Balakrishnan, Additional Chief Secretary (Industry and Commerce), Alkesh Kumar Sharma, Managing Director KSIDC, and T P Thomas Kutty, Executive Director, KSIDC,are the first directors of the new company. The company will undertake detailed feasibility report for the project and identify suitable rail technology to implement the high speed corridor. Steps have also been initiated for the release of a notification for the acquisition of land needed to implement the project. The width of the land required to be acquired for the rail corridor is 13 metres. The high speed corridor will use a greenfield route to keep the rehabilitation task to the minimum.

IAF's 'Iron Fist' to be held in Rajasthan on February 22

JAIPUR: Indian Air Force will conduct its first ever day-night exercise and will display its full combat capability during 'Iron Fist' show to be held at Pokhran firing ranges in Western sector in Rajasthan on February 22.

"Work at the new air strip on Pokhran range is operationally ready for this mega event which would be witnessed by President Pranab Mukherjee, Defence Minister A K Antony, Air and Defence attaches of many friendly countries," defence spokesperson S D Goswami said. 

Goswami said that pre-firing demonstration and rehearsal for the event has begun today and civilians have been asked to remain alert and careful during specific timings as a precautionary measure. 

The full force fire power rehearsals will take place on February 17 and 19 and the final demonstrations will take place on February 22 when more than 100 aircrafts will participate with equal numbers will be on standby, he said. 

Different aircrafts which included Sukhoi 30, Mirage 2000, Jaguar, Mig 27, MIG 21, attack helicopters, UAV and high-tech AWACS will display their potential, he said. 

The transport aircraft taking part in the exercise will include AN-32, Embraer, IL-76, IL-78 and C-130J while Mi-17V5 and Mi-35 attack helicopters will constitute the rotary wing ingredients. 

The Airborne Warning and Control System (AWACS) will be used to monitor the mammoth exercise, while an unmanned aerial vehicle will stream live video images of the targets set for destruction. The air defence activities will include firing of surface-to-air guided missiles, Goswami said. 

The IAF pilots will seek to destroy mock radar sites, tanks marshalling yards, terrorist camps, runway, BMP, blast pens and convoys among other targets during the exercise. 

Para-drop and troop inspection of Garudas (IAF's special force) and NSG to neutralise a mock terrorist camp will also be on display. 

"The exercise will also aid commanders and planners to attain better insight into the IAF's potential and the deployment capabilities of aerial weapons", he added.

राष्ट्रपति की गर्लफ्रेंड को फर्स्ट लेडी का दर्जा 

नई दिल्ली। 14 फरवरी को फ्रांस के राष्ट्रपति एफ.होलांडे भारत दौरे पर आ रहे हैं। यह उनकी पहली भारत यात्रा है। होलांडे के साथ उनकी गर्लफ्रेंड वेलेरिए भी आएंगी। भारत सरकार ने होलांडे की गर्लफ्रेंड को फर्स्ट लेडी का दर्जा देने का फैसला किया है। 

यानि फ्रांस के राष्ट्रपति की गर्लफ्रेंड के लिए भी रेड कारपेट बिछाया जाएगा। इसे भारत के नजरिए में बदलाव के रूप में देखा जा रहा है। इससे पहले 2008 में जब निकोलस सारकोजी फ्रांस के राष्ट्रपति के रूप में भारत दौरे पर आए थे तब उनकी गर्लफ्रेंड कार्ला ब्रून भी साथ आई थी। 

उस वक्त भारत ने ब्रूनी को फर्स्ट लेडी का दर्जा नहीं दिया था। साउथ ब्लॉक ने पेरिस को संदेशा पहुंचाया था कि ब्रूनी को फर्स्ट लेडी का दर्जा नहीं दिया जाएगा। इस कारण ब्रून को ड्रॉफ आउट करना पड़ा था। ब्रूनी को फर्स्ट लेडी का दर्जा इसलिए नहीं दिया गया था क्योंकि उनकी सारकोजी से शादी नहीं हुई थी। 

बाद में सारकोजी और ब्रूनी ताजमहल का दीदार करने आगरा गए थे। भारत दौरे के बाद जब सारकोजी फ्रांस पहुंचे तो एक हफ्ते में ही उन्होंने ब्रूनी से शादी कर ली। इस बार जब होलांडे भारत दौरे पर आ रहे हैं तो विदेश मंत्रालय की प्रोटोकॉल डिवीजन फिर परेशानी में पड़ गई। 

परेशानी यह थी कि होलांडे की गर्लफ्रेंड को फर्स्ट लेडी का दर्जा दिया जाए या नहीं। एक समाचार पत्र के मुताबिक ज्यादातर अधिकारियों ने कहा कि सरकार को वक्त के मुताबिक आगे बढ़ना चाहिए। उन्हें शिष्टाचार देना चाहिए। इसके बाद फैसला हुआ कि जो सम्मान किसी राष्ट्राध्यक्ष  की कानूनन पत्नी को दिया जाता है वही सम्मान इनको भी दिया जाना चाहिए।

होलांडे की गर्लफ्रेंड पेशे से पत्रकार है। उनका दो बार तलाक हो चुका है। उनके तीन बेटे हैं। 2007 से वह होलांडे के साथ रह रही है। पिछले साल अक्टूबर में भी भारत को उस वक्त मुश्किल का सामना करना पड़ा था जब ऑस्ट्रेलिया की प्रधानमंत्री जूलिया गिलार्ड के भारत दौरे के लिए तैयारियां चल रही थी। गिलार्ड के उस वक्त अपने पार्टनर टिम मैथिएसन के साथ भारत आने की खबर थी। उस वक्त उनको स्पाउज स्टेट्स देने का फैसला हुआ। हालांकि आखिरी मिनट में टिम ने भारत आने का फैसला टाल दिया।

Ranthambore National Park

Ranthambore National Park or Ranthambhore is one of the largest national parks in northern India. It is situated in Sawai Madhopur district of southeastern Rajasthan, about 110 km north east of Kota and 130 km south east of Jaipur, which is also the nearest airport. The nearest town and railway station is at Sawai Madhopur, about 11 km away.

Ranthambhore was established as the Sawai Madhopur Game Sanctuary in 1955 by the Government of India, and was declared one of the Project Tiger reserves in 1973. Ranthambore became a national park in 1980. In 1984, the adjacent forests were declared the Sawai Man Singh Sanctuary and Keladevi Sanctuary, and in 1991 the tiger reserve was enlarged to include the Sawai Man Singh and Keladevi sanctuaries.

RAS main exam in the first week of April

Ajmer. Rajasthan Public Service Commission RAS will not make the test in March. Now the Commission has decided to test in the first week of April. Commission in March to take the examination by district could not be cleared.
Puran Chand Sharma said Assistant Secretary of the Commission Rajasthan State and Subordinate Services Combined Competitive Examination 2012 will be held in the first week of April now. Examination of the detailed program will be decided later. Significantly, the Commission proposed from January 28 to suspend the examination was decided to test a march.
But there's no proposal from seven division headquarters did not meet the test. Collector says due to CBSE, Rajasthan Board exams, college examination, the RAS main exam were conducted later.

The third largest cattle fair in Rajasthan founded by the great Jodhpur Dynasty king Mr. Umed Singh in honour of Sh. Ramdeoji 56 years back is being held every year in the month of Magh (January / February). Although the famous  Nagauri bull is the "piece-de-resistance" the  indeginous breeds of camels, horses, bullocks, buffallows, goat & sheep are in no way  less attractive buys. Jaipur: The BJP on Saturday February 02,2013 appointed former Rajasthan chief minister Vasundhara Raje as the next chief of the state unit of the party.
BJP President Rajnath Singh told news-persons in the presence of Leaders of Opposition Sushma Swaraj and Arun Jaitley that state BJP president Arun Chaturvedi had resigned from the post to pave the way for Raje’s appointment.
”I have nominated Vasundhara Raje as the Rajasthan BJP President, accepting Chaturvedi’s offer,” he said.
Singh said that Raje, who was the leader of the Opposition in the state Assembly, too had offered to quit office.
”I have appointed senior party leader Gulab Chand Kataria to succeed Raje,” he said.
The state BJP unit was in the throes of dissent and dissensions for quite some time and the party has finally resolved the tangle, making Raje the main point person in the coming Assembly elections that are due to take place in this calender year.
